Terms of Service

Effective August 5, 2026

These Terms govern business use of Textbase, an early-access service for creating AI-assisted, two-way SMS assistants. By creating a business account or purchasing a subscription, you agree to these Terms.

Service and business responsibility

Textbase helps businesses answer questions and manage appointment requests by SMS. You are responsible for reviewing generated content, keeping business information accurate, honoring confirmed appointments, supervising automated activity, and providing customers with a working support channel. Textbase is not an emergency, medical, legal, or financial service.

Trial and subscription

New accounts receive a 14-day trial. Textbase Starter costs $49 USD per month after activation. Stripe processes payments. Subscriptions renew monthly until canceled. Taxes and telecommunications costs may apply where stated.

Fair use and third-party costs

The Starter plan includes reasonable early-access use for one business assistant. Excessive, abusive, automated, or unusually high message or AI usage may be limited or moved to a custom plan after notice. Twilio phone numbers, carrier fees, registration charges, and other third-party services are not included unless expressly stated.

Cancellation and refunds

You may cancel anytime through the Stripe customer portal. Cancellation stops future renewals and access continues through the current paid period. Except where required by law, completed subscription charges are non-refundable. If a duplicate or mistaken charge occurs, contact us promptly so it can be reviewed.

SMS compliance

Businesses must send messages only to recipients who have provided legally sufficient consent and must honor STOP, HELP, and other required carrier commands. Purchased lists, deceptive messages, spam, prohibited content, and attempts to evade carrier rules are forbidden. SMS consent is separate from and is not a condition of purchasing Textbase.

Acceptable use

You may not use Textbase to break the law, infringe rights, harass people, distribute malware, impersonate others, collect sensitive information without authorization, or interfere with the service. We may suspend unsafe or noncompliant use.

AI and availability

AI responses can be incomplete or incorrect. You must test and monitor the assistant before relying on it. The service is provided on an early-access, as-available basis without a promise of uninterrupted operation.

Privacy and providers

Our Privacy Policy explains data handling. Textbase relies on providers including Stripe, Twilio, Anthropic, and Render, whose services and terms may also apply.

Changes

We may update these Terms as Textbase develops. Material changes will be posted with a new effective date. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
